The Bruce Peninsula

A place for all seasons

There is plenty to do and lots to see here on The Bruce Peninsula.  A play land for all ages to come and explore any time of the year depending on your personal interests.  The Bruce Trail  is known to many for being beautiful all year with its lush and dense forestry in the spring and summer, the beautiful colours in the fall and the many trails one is able to take for snowshoeing or crosscountry skiing and snowmobiling.

In the summer months people from all over come to this area to visit Tobermory and the many things it has to offer. Are you the adventurous type that would love to try scuba diving or snorkelling. The Diver's Den is right in Tobermory and have lessons and tours to suit your personal preference.  Many visitors take one of the many boat tours to the famous flowerpot island, and if you feel like visiting Manitoulin for the day The Chi-Cheemaun Ferry sails four times a day. These are just a few of the many things to see and do.

A beautiful winter wonderland allows you to enjoy snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and the well  known Wiarton Willie Festival  in February.  Our home is 1 .2 kms from the trail and to sledders is known as the "top of the loop" making it easy to get back on the trail in the morning.  We will greet you with a hot beverage and homemade baking upon your arrival, and of course a campfire.  Hard to believe I know, but we do have campfires in the winter which is  very inviting and picturesque. Sitting around the campfire surrounded by snow feeling like you are in an igloo has left our guests loving that something different that we have to offer. In the morning wake up to the aromas of a full gourmet breakfast to start your day.  There are a variety of permits, so please visit the OFSC website to plan your trip for a week or the season.
